There are several reasons why the majority who get involved in the Network Marketing Industry have failed, are failing, or will fail.
1.) You are talking with people who are "not interested right now".
Some of you are not even talking anymore you are downright stalking people to join your business. This is what we call a "hunter". You chase people down and expect them to respond in a positive way. Just take your own life experience as an example. You have been to a car dealership to buy a car and here comes that aggressive salesman coming up to you, not even giving you a chance to look around. After he went on his spill about how great the company and the cars were, you turned away because he was chasing you down to buy a car. It did not stop there because he called you each and every day sometimes twice per day to see if you still wanted to buy that new car.
You cannot chase or "hunt" people down, you must learn how to fish for them instead.
2.) You are still holding weekly business opportunity meetings at your home.
This method of recruiting prospects is old school and out dated. Stop holding candle, vitamin, and fruit juice parties. I can bet you that nine times out of ten people are not signing up. Am I right? There are so many more effective ways to get the right prospects to join your business.
3.) You have no Marketing System in Place.
In this case you are doing exactly what your sponsor has told you:
-pick up the phone book and start cold calling people
-talk with your family
-talk with your friends
-talk to your dentist, accountant, massage therapist, mortgage broker
-and the list goes on and on
There is nothing wrong with trying to recruit prospects through a "Warm Market", but this CANNOT be the only approach. You must have a marketing SYSTEM not ONE marketing tactic.
4.) You try to earn a profit with tiny paychecks.
90% percent of distributors are earning just enough each month just to cover the monthly auto ship requirement by the company. How can you turn or earn a profit with tiny paychecks?
As I explained earlier, if you had a systematized marketing plan, then your paycheck could go from tiny to HUGE.
5.) You give up way to SOON.
90% of Distributors give up and get out of the business before they have really and truly given themselves the time and chance to become a successful business owner. This 90% is just bouncing around from company to company doing the same things and expecting a different result. You should not give up on your dreams. One of the main reasons you decided to start your own Network Marketing Business was to achieve your goals and live your dreams, right? All the companies provide you with the vehicle, but if you want to achieve your goals and live your dreams, you need to learn how to drive it, take it on road trip, fix it up when needed, and drive it into the sunset to your ultimate dream.
